Saturday Smile: One and Done

You know you’re getting old when the thing that made you happiest during a week is health-related. Bill learned that he had basal cell carcinoma recently. Monday he had surgery. The procedure involved cutting the first layer of skin that included the bad cells. That sample was tested to see if all of the cancerous cells had been removed. If not, they go back and cut some more until the sample comes back clean. We lucked out, as the surgeon put it, and all of the cells removed with the first cut.

That, my friends, made me smile. It made Bill smile as well.

Have a good week.
